Hi – we are looking to put on a skit by my sister’s sheva brachos. Anyone have a good idea? We have a whole bunch of boys that can act…

July 29, 2013 5:51 pm at 5:51 pm #969690Torah613TorahParticipantDoes your sister want her brothers making a skit by sheva brachos?
July 29, 2013 5:55 pm at 5:55 pm #969691popa_bar_abbaParticipantHow about like remember all the embarrassing stuff she’s done over the years that she wouldn’t want the whole world knowing about, and do all that.

July 29, 2013 8:49 pm at 8:49 pm #969694ObstacleIllusionParticipantSheva Brachos should have ONE speech limited to four minutes. After that any form of asking to hold the crowd’s attention should involve a drinking game.

We also used our wedding bentchers for the sheva brachos. Even a few non-Jewish friends (my husband met them in college) came and had a great time.

One praises her MIL for sending her supper twice a week, whereas the other one complains how her MIL seems to think she is not capable of cooking.
So they go through the week…(considering different situations) because it is so close to reality it really becomes quite funny.

August 4, 2013 11:50 pm at 11:50 pm #969700pearMemberThanks for all your great ideas! We decided to put on 2-liner skits on “communication”. Can you think of the funniest “mis-communication” scenarios? (the funniest ones are probably done by grandma and grandpa)

August 7, 2013 1:44 pm at 1:44 pm #969702notasheepMemberAt my sister’s sheva brachos they played ‘Mr and Mrs’ where she and my brother in law stood back-to-back with a pink taffy for ‘wife’ and a blue taffy for ‘husband’. Then they were asked various questions about ‘who is more likely to…’ and had to answer using the taffies. They couldn’t see what the other was answering. It was really funny.
