When I get sick, I get sore and achey from head to toe. I feel like my muscles are all bruised or charley horse. What do you do to relieve muscle soreness? I’ve tried hot baths/showers, which help temporarily but sometimes leaves me sorer after. Ibuprofen or muscle relaxants don’t seem to help me much for this kind of pain. Any ideas for me?

Advil and Tylenol may work, but the thing you need most is an overdose of sleep.
Applying heat should help (sauna would be great), but above all you need rest, and to drink lot of fluids.
April 7, 2013 11:43 pm at 11:43 pm #943063SaysMeMemberi know it’s normal, but i still want to relieve the pain. I am sleeping a lot, and making sure to get lots of fluids, so looking for ideas. Advil isn’t working for me. I will try heat but that will only work for my back, but wont help my super sore legs.
Thanks for the advice though!

April 8, 2013 6:36 am at 6:36 am #943066yankdownunderMemberSaysMe-Try this combination for relief of sore muscles. Calcium, Magnesium, Zinc and Vitamin D3. As a side please get tested(a simple blood test)to determine what level your Vitamin D is at. Salmon(hopefully non farmed)is a good source of Vitamin D as Mushrooms are too. Take advantage of the Vitamin D natural supplementation from the Sun. All these suggestions and more such as eating more Alkaline Foods will help reduce the sore feeling. Good luck and feel better.

Try Aleve – 2 pills first 12 hrs & 1 the second 12 hrs & then 1 every 12 hrs.
Or try increasing the IB (Advil) you can take upto 3-4 pills every 6 hrs.
