Aside from chulent, the Shabbos meal is cold and always the same. Any ideas to spice up and make the Shabbos lunch menu more interesting,.,,?

Why don’t you make a dessert of pie crust filled with fruit slices, and topped with a scoop of (parave) orange ice-cream in the shape of the dome-on-the-rock mosque?
You and the others at the seuda can then enjoy demolishing it while at the same time having a yummy treat.
    I call this “Baked Al-aqsa”.

    Thank you.
If it was a "serious" recipe, I'd add blueberries and whipped cream.

I was going to say something about "mosqueteers", but decided to quit while ahead.
    <<oops>>

P.S. - did you hear about Poe's little-known short story about al-asqa congregants who attended morning services without first brushing their teeth? "The Mosque of Bed Breath"

    Sorry about the thread hijack.
    To get back on topic-
    1) Did you check this topic: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/forum/kosher-cooking
    2) Poster "shindy" created several threads with recipes. Check the threads she started here: http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/profile/shindy
    3) These arent recipes, but have you tried adding potato kugel, matzo balls or stuffing to cholent? The cholent gives them a great flavor and they can be served as sides.

No, but I did read his tale of woe of one of the 12 shevatim, "The Fall of the House of Usher." (meaning no disrespect). There was another story as well, about the untimely accident an esrog had with a grandfather clock. I think it was "The Pitum and the Pendulum."

(I apologize, my initial post wasn’t serious.)
What I would do is slice fruit into small pieces.
The pieces should be about the same size.
    I would use:
    - subtly flavored fruit like apple, pear, grape and kiwi
    - more strongly flavored fruit and berries like orange, blueberry and strawberry
    - banana (if people like it)
    - whipped cream

I prefer fresh uncooked fruit, but some people may like a whole or partial ambrosia / compote mix.

I just saw that espresso cheesecake recipe. it seemed very labor-intensive, and I just spent the day yesterday making a marble cheesecake and pies that took forever to prepare, so I chickened out of making the Binah one. Meanwhile, our cooking for all of Shavuos is virtually done, to the point where I ALMOST do not need to make an eruv tavshilin (but I will, because soemthing always comes up that we need for Shabbos).

On shabbat day we have (besides for hamin) spaghetti with chicken- stays on the blech over night. A roast that stays on the blech and rice that just needs to stay on the counter in a pot
