Which potential presidential candidate do you want to see nominated in 2016 and why?
July 11, 2014 4:31 pm at 4:31 pm #1023692👑RebYidd23ParticipantI want a grey parrot to be the first avian president. I’d rather have no president than a human one.
July 13, 2014 7:47 am at 7:47 am #1023693YW Moderator-42ModeratorI want a president who wears a black hat and white shirt and is on food stamps.

July 15, 2014 9:26 pm at 9:26 pm #1023695oomisParticipantB”H it cannot be the person who presently occupies that title. I don’t care that much for Hilarious, but what do we think of Mike Huckabee?
July 15, 2014 9:49 pm at 9:49 pm #1023696SayIDidIt™ParticipantObama 2016!
What’s the question?
Obama 2016!
July 16, 2014 5:38 pm at 5:38 pm #1023697tzaddiqMemberlol, i thought this thread was about a poll of who would want straw hats to be the new black hats(for the summer, of course)?
July 16, 2014 8:03 pm at 8:03 pm #1023699golferParticipantTzad, I thought so too!
I was sure we’d be having a discussion on the permissibility and advisability of men wearing straw hats to shul on the sweltering hot days of summer in the heavily frum NE US.
Instead I get a thread on one of my least favorite topics…
The CR might just not be the place for the fashionably inclined among us.
July 16, 2014 8:22 pm at 8:22 pm #1023700BTGuyParticipantI just want to say that for many elections already, I decided the right candidate is not out there. Who says that among two people running, one is better?
Politics has come a long way from being defined as working for the will of the constituents. The political parties put together a sales pitch they think people will find appealing, but it is the backroom policies which are the priorities of all the candidates. The only difference is each party has their own band on “supporters” who will benefit from their candidate winning.
July 17, 2014 2:12 am at 2:12 am #1023701TheGoqParticipantTzad and Golfer a straw poll is something that is held in Iowa a few years before the election to gauge the interest in certain candidates i threw in the hat just cause its summer.

July 17, 2014 11:59 am at 11:59 am #1023703jewishfeminist02MemberBetween (not among) two candidates, one is nearly always better, even if only in the sense of “less bad”.
Even if you dislike both candidates exactly equally, most people do have a party preference, and when you vote for president, you are voting for a party, not just a candidate.
July 17, 2014 9:17 pm at 9:17 pm #1023704👑RebYidd23ParticipantThat’s why I never vote for Republicans or Democrats.
