i need some study tips. i read 200 out of 600 pages of notes (about 6 slides per page) and have 400 left, then i can start my OTHER set of notes which are 200 pages long and size 12 font, 1.5 spaced.
my brain is FRIED beyond recognition. my final is thurs and this all has to be read by wed night the latest. IDEAS??????
(oh and i have no zitz fliesh left either cuz i fried my brain the rest of the semester)

Breaks!! Come to the coffee room, go get yourself a coffee, take a walk around the block, or just close your eyes. I know the feeling... I'm a bad procrastinator on top of it. Studies have shown your brain works at max for 40 min, then needs a break. So if you can take just a 5 min time out every 40 min (or 60, or 80....) you'll do yourself a world of good. Also, its a break to look forward to when you can't concentrate, cuz its just 15 more min til a break.... On top of that, i need a longer break every 3 hrs or so. I like background noise, others do music. Or if you need quiet, at least make noise in your breaks. Let your brain cool down-its working overtime, and don't need it overheating, let alone frying! I think reading notes is the wrong way to study. Just take practice tests and look up the questions you don't know the answer to.

popa, how can i take practice tests? if i was talking about the N-CLEX or ATI, then i can take practice questions. but these are exams made up by the professors. i wish they told us what to focus on..... all they say is STUDY E/T :(
saysme, i took my final. surprise surprise, i had not patience for it either! i finished that 100 q final in 55 minutes. my goal was an 86. will know tom/early next week the grade i got on the course. B"H that semester is over. now 2 weeks to de-fry my brain before destroying it again lol

I like to study right after I take a shower so that I feel refreshed. I usually study for about an hour or two then take a shower and can on for another two after. Try it, it really wokrs for me!
