I believe when you scroll down it makes it smaller. When you scroll up, it enlarges the text.

F3: Search the entire web page for any text (name of poster, keyword, etc.) The only problem with this is that it will only find the first time this text is used.
ctrl f find any word on the page-and finds them all in order u just press next and it works anywhere on the computer

generally speaking, if you do not see your post in a reasonable time, it most likely was deleted. reposting without self editing will not get the post approved.
regarding editing: some edits are identified in the body of the post whereas others are done without bold text. This is up to 1) the descretion of the individual moderators, 2) the nature of what needs to be edited, 3) the volume of current posts and 4) the volume of posts in backlog.

how about a CR search to look for a specific thread or user (find all posts from that user)?
kapusta – I believe the CR software supports search function that needs to be enabled.
nossond – there is an edit option if your post was posted and you caught the error within one minute of posting time. The setting used to be set longer than 1 min. but was for some reason reduced.

I’m guessing that we’re not allowed to edit our own posts because that would provide a way for a sneaky individual to bypass the moderation process.
I’ll further guess that a one-minute window is the minimum interval for self-editing that the site software allows – otherwise it makes no sense (to me) for such a short interval to exist.
(nossond- btw – your divrei Torah are excellent).
icot – all your points about the edit option are correct. indeed when the CR was brand new I believe it allowed it for 60 min., the default, but was reduced to the minumum 1 min. since new edits post unmoderated.

Re: the IP info we were discussing on the other thread: agreed, most of the revealed info is useless for those playing detective. For those living in cities with a relatively small frum population (i.e. Phoenix, Dublin, Denver, Jo’berg etc.) the location can be much more revealing. Also, a particular IP can and has revealed multiple IDs using the same access point. (For the truly paranoid, a “war-driver” can pick up an unprotected WAP and get your IP from that as well. This is not a realistic concern.)

That could be true in theory, but remember even that info is only available to a site admin, not a regular reader. (The IP to city translation is not always accurate.) And its also easy for a user to hide behind an anonymous proxy that will mask even that much.
how many of you by mistake click on ride sharing instead of the coffee room on the home page??? i sometimes do & hate it!!! maybe to not have all those stuff so close to one another on the left side of the home page????

About edits: YWN can moderate (approve) the edit posts just like the other ones.

Suggestion:
Can you allow signatures on the CR posts?
A signature is a line of text (set in your profile) that is automatically appended to the end of each post.
