areivimzehlazeh: a girl was dressed as a chassidish boy and was walking along. A group of drunk boys grab her/him and start dancing. You've never seen someone that panic stricken in your life... ha they must have been panic stricken!!!!
a friend of mine's parents used to dress up as each other years ago, i always thought it was so creepy!!! the guy would wear his wife's real sheitel!!!

My oldest child is a girl; her brother is about a year younger than her. One Purim, when they were 3 and almost 2, I dressed them as each other. It was amusing because people really had trouble telling them apart, since they were almost the same size & looked so much alike. Since they were very young I didn't consider this inappropriate, but I wouldn't let them do it now that they're older.

syriansephardi: thanks! It was the best idea I could think of since I was working outside the home then & had an infant also, so really I barely had time to sleep, let alone buy/ make a purim costume.

For men / boys: Obama mask or just the ears
For ladies / girls: Palin mask or just the glasses

believer - a million years ago when I was in seminary in ey a friend and myself dressed up as meraglim. we wore all white underneath and took material and draped it like a toga over our clothing ...got a really long branch, decorated it with green tissue paper for leaves and blew up purple ballons and atached it to look like grapes.

    ames,
One way to dress up as an egg would be to cut a large piece of foamboard into the egg white, then glue a yellow plate or round piece of foam or felt in the middle as the yolk. Use a piece of ribbon to make a strap in the back to hold it on. I found this is a magazine once.

  46. When spotting a person on Purim with a # on the back of their t-shirt, follow these rules:
    - approach them and say "Hi, my name is (insert your sn), what's yours?"
    - When the person just raises an eyebrow, slap him on the back and say "hey, don't be shy, don't you remember me? I'm the CR psychiatrist/anger manager/vort giver/shadchan/welcome committee/board member/treasurer etc."
    - When the person starts to turn in the other direction, grab their hand and say "now, now, don't be afraid. I understand you don't want your identity blown, but these are the CR rules! And being the die-hard CR member that I am- I must follow them!"

Run after the guy for a minimum of 30 blocks- DO NOT GIVE UP
Then you can visit squeak for an emergency session
    Good luck to all!

areivim - I think everyone has to head over to the runner's thread so that they'll be fit enough to chase their fellow CR member
