Apples to Apples is better than Ticket To Ride.

    undeniably false. not even close.

Apples to Apples is a party game, while Ticket to Ride is a light strategy game – they probably shouldn’t
be compared in terms of “better.” (TtR is of course a much more sophisticated design, though.)

(Is the square I see in the OP meant to be something else?)

(Actually, I think I’m seeing the square in the first post of every page.)

On second thought, one could compare their quality within their categories,
and I’d say Ticket to Ride is better at what it’s meant to do.

The pieces can easily slide around the board.

Apples to apples is pretty much the worst game ever made. How did a game where getting points is based on a purely subjective decision get so big?

I think the idea is that players can use the card that they think will appeal most to the current judge
based on their familiarity with them. Also, it’s not meant to be a competitive game.
What games do you enjoy, Neville?

A great game based on that principle of knowing each other well is a cranium game called whoonu.
