    Lesson 6 - my ASCII drawing collapsed when it posted!What happened?

    Remember, the first backtick "turns on" fixed-width formatting, the next backtick turns it off, etc.
    If your art has backticks embedded in it, it will in all likelihood "mess up" the way it appears once you post it.
    What to do:
    a) if the art is your own, don't embed backticks.
    b) if you are cut-and-pasting, first paste your art into notepad, "replace all" backticks with apostrophes, then cut-and-paste the resulting art into the post.

    was just wondering when u use the period does it need to be after just the first backtick or after both?

    first do (`) w/o parenthisis
    then a .
    then your porsche
    then (`) again w/o parenthisis
    then a . again

    You do not need a period (.) AFTER the ASCII art (i.e. after the last backtick.)

    ames, copy it into notepad and replace all the backticks with apostrophes.

    edit --> replace --> replace all

    then copy it onto here (don't forget the backtick and period first and the backtick at the end)
