Go tell your stupid master that in the house of my father king Belshatzar he wouldn't have been good enough to clean the horses stables. My father can drink enough wine for a thousand men and wouldn't get drunk. Achasveirosh has just a few drinks and becomes completely crazy. I refuse to obey his insane command, tell the king I will not come!

Esther my childd, heed my words to you.. even in the darkest hours, keep the torah true. Through you will come salvation for each and every jew. Vaanochi haster astir panai bayom hahu...

I was reading the Meam Loez on Esther and there was lots of word-for-word from the book to the tape and I found myself reading in funny voices... I got a few strange looks.

We originally had the cassette set and that broke. My husband insisted we get the CD version to replace it. My kids can repeat the whole cassette word for word.
"Here comes Haman, Here comes Haman, second to the king, second to the king, Here comes Haman, Here comes Haman, everybody swing, everybody swing, cause we bow down when Haman around... Salami, Bologna, Salami," Come to think of it, i can repeat it.

Just to bring a bit of seriousness to this thread...

    We can do teshuva
We can repent from our ways
    We can do teshuva
    Just like in previous days
When all hope seems lost, we turn to Hashem
    We can do teshuva

    Let's start from the beginning.

    The Purim (urim) Story (ory)

Vayehi B'mei achsveirosh, hoo Achasveirosh, Hamolech meyhidu v'ad kush, sheva v'esrim u mayah medina, baymim haheym...

Hear yee Hear yee, The king hereby invites all the inhabitants of the city of Shushan to a royal feast to be held at the kings royal palace.

Hear yee Hear yee, The king hereby invites all the inhabitants of the city of Shushan to a royal feast to be held at the kings royal palace.

A royal feast at the royal palace? I can only wait to taste the food. Who cares about the food (hic) as long as there's something (hic) to drink.

    (waaa waaa wa wa waaaaaaaaaa)

    Wow, I love this thread!

Just Smile, you forgot a line,

"That foolish king achashveorosh, always raising our taxes, its about time he did something right with our money."

    A royal feast...

And continue where you left off...

Most of the inhabitants of Shushan were eagerly preparing for the kings royal banquet, most - with the exception of Mordichai Hayihudi who was the teacher and respected leader of the Jewish people.

And now talmidim the pasuk can be understood.
    Alright (klap) Mussar Seder...

    Cofetzchaim,

I am so embarrassed. I can't believe I forgot those lines.

    Mod-42,

np, I'm a lyrics freak. It took a little while to figure that one out. I'm still not sure if it's Rhinoceros Bits or Rhinosauraus Pits. I always thought Pits but Bits makes more sense.

I'm a lyrics freak too and I'm pretty sure it's "Rhinoceros Bits"

Does anyone understand why they play the Hungarian Rhapsody during Mordechai's speech (I think the second one after the decree)? I understand its better than the Bohemian version, but they couldn't think of anything more somber?

Also appreciate the Wicked Witch clip for Vashti. It goes well with the laugh.

Ha ha ha, Leah boil a cup of tea for me at one.

    Yes you majesty.

A maid should always have a smile on her face while serving her mistress.

    Yes you majesty.

Leah, did you tend the garden today as I instructed

No your majesty, I didn't have a chance to do it yet. I plan to get to it first thing tomorrow morning.

What do you mean you didn't do it yet. Don't give me your excuses. I know why you didn't work today, because its your holy shabbos and you didn't want to work on shabbos tell me. That's the real reason. Isn't it?

Always knows where his Towel is

The "Od Yishama" music by Achashveirosh and Esther's wedding is funny.

And then there is this song:
Let's cut and saw the treee
    for Mordy Hayiduhdiii
    He'll swing up high
    Up in the sky
for one and all to seeee
