i heard tiferes is a 'mini' hadar in terms of 'yeshivishness' what bout academic side of it????

tiferes was more yeshivish than hadar when i was in israel, and less academic.

Best way to describe is;
you can get away with beign less academic in Tiferes. There is more pressure in Hadar. but there are plenty of less acadmic girls in hadar too.

are all the girl's fathers Rabbeim? I know of a number of girls who are applying whose fathers are regular working folk, but very frum.

No, nothing unyeshivish about hadar.. but tiferes runs a shtick more greasy! as one person said who actually went there to check them both out..
In Hadar the girls had their top button open (totally tnius of course), in tiferes, they had their top button done up.. (and in a 3rd place which we shall not mention, there were 2 buttons open!)
or you could use the example of a womans snood.. how low down she wears it.. (except that noone in seminary is wearing snoods yet!)Posted 5 months ago # -

the issue is not the buttons open or not but the tiferes girls are more yeshivish in terms of frumkeit and personality.... they're much more bensonhurst/kensington crowd. Hadar has much more of a diverse crowd - they preach yeshivish but the girls there are more open. Tiferes has a pretty good academic level - but they're not very intense and dont have too much work - hadar is definitely quite a bit more intense and definitely gives more work

Its similar to Hadar... if you don't understand what i mean.. then i guess it doesn't matter..
I know a girl that chose Tiferes over Hadar cause she was very competitive type and she wanted to relax more..If you're gonna pull apart any example i give to explain 'more greasy' then its gonna be hard.. Tiferes has more lkwd girls than out of town..

Nobody copared it to either of the three because it is a lot less accademic than mesores rochel and quite a bit more than peninim and seminar. It cannot be compared to anyone specific. They give a decent amount of work - it's not too easy... but the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. No, they do not give as much work as Hadar. Hadar is a lot harder

It is between but Seminar and Mesores Rochel are quite a distance academically from each other. Mesores Rochel is harder than Hadar...

israeli, i have applied to a few places already, but i applied to tiferes as a backup, and i only heard s/thing abt it a day afta giving in the application, that is totally not my type...and i'm sooo nervous...i guess i was misinformed in the begining...and i jus wanna clarify it...
