    A recent Email I got.

    ONE TRUE STORY ABOUT RACISM

Recently on the Oprah Winfrey Show:

Her guest was Tommy Hilfiger. On the show, she asked him if the statements about race he was accused of saying were true.

Statements like…’If I’d known African-Americans, Hispanics, Jewish and Asians would buy my clothes, I WOULD NOT have made them so nice. I wish these people would *NOT* buy my clothes, as they are made for upper class white people’

His answer to Oprah was a simple ‘YES’.

She then immediately asked him to leave her show.

My suggestion? Don’t buy your next shirt or perfume from Tommy Hilfiger.

Let’s give him what he asked for. Let’s not buy his clothes, let’s put him in a financial state where he himself will not be able to afford the ridiculous prices he puts on his clothes.

Let’s find out if Non-whites and Jewish people really play such a small part in the world.

Stop buying any range of their (Tommy H etc) product, perfume, cosmetics,

    clothes, bags, etc.,

    What do you Think?

a lie is halfway around the world before truth has a chance to get its pants on.

    Mod-80,

    Thanks!

We must NEVER spread such emails without checking them out. The consequences from the motzi shem ra can be terrible for the victim of the hoax.

Thanks for saving me the time of hunting that down lol. It boggles the mind that people believe these silly chain emails that get sent around. Obviously the saying a sucker is born every minute has truth to it…

This is how ridiculous kol korehs start:

Somebody makes up a rumor about the local fish guy in the supermaket because he didn’t like him. Suddenly, fish is assur, water is assur, shaitels are assur. And, the shaitel has the dybuk of a fish in it.

    Please, stop this idiocy!

Rule number 1. Make sure you have a spam filter.

Rule number 2. If the email makes it to your inbox, snopes it before fowarding.

If the moderators would have posted the comment I made right after I posted, they would have noticed that I asked them to close this discussion before it got off the ground, as I realized after checking, that it was completely false.

charlie – there is no motzi shem ra on a nochri.

Even if that’s so (and I don’t know it to be), don’t you think that needlessly damaging someone’s reputation is a bad thing – even if they are a nochri?

(I don’t actually expect an answer to this question.)

    myfriend,

Just because something may not be technically asur does not mean it should be done. Chas v’shalom Jews become known for spreading motzi shem ra on non-Jews! We are supposed to be a light to the nations, not a source of slanderous lies!!!

Whether the email is true or not, they definitely don’t love us Jews.

Be it Tommy hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, and any goyish company for that matter.

But were in Galus. You can’t change that.
