    I’ll start.
    1. I dislike vanilla.
    2. I used to have a gerbil.
    3. I have never thrown away a teddy bear.

It’s impossible for two of them to be true and one to be a lie. (I realize that you already know that, LF)

Thanks btw LU, so it is true that two cannot be true? I keep confusing myself with that tricky one from LF.

RY: Same question please, just to clarify if you were responding to mine or LU’s questions.

    Thank you 🙂

LB – what are you thanking me for?

Two are true, and one is false.

LF’s was a trick – it’s impossible for two of his sentences to be true and one false. It’s also impossible for one to be true and two to be false or for all three to be true or for all three to be false.

you’re all wrong – I’m scared of lightning and dogs, but not of mice.

Lightning and dogs are dangerous; mice aren’t. When I was a teenager, whenever we had mice in our classroom or the bungalow colony, I would catch them in cups and let them go in the woods. On the other hand, if I see a dog or lightning, I run away.

Mice are a lot more dangerous than dogs. They aren’t vaccinated.

They don’t just come over and try to bite you for no reason like dogs do. And they don’t bark.

“LB – I’m guessing you are not allergic to eggs, and you can’t whistle.”

LU: Correct that I am not allergic to eggs.

For the second one, true I cannot whistle, but that is one of the two truths. The lie was #3, I*can* wink 😉

Most dogs will not run up and bite anyone for no reason, or for any reason.

Sure they will. I once had a dog stick its teeth in me, although it let go when I said the Shema.
And several people in my neighborhood have been bitten by dogs recently.
I’ve had dogs threaten me and run after me many times.
When I was a kid, a dog was threatening me once and I got away, but I heard from a neighbor afterwards that he attacked someone else.
I have often heard of dogs attacking people.

    I REST MY CASE!!!

“1. My niece is afraid of lightning.
    2. My niece is afraid of elevators.
    3. My niece is afraid of riding on busses.” (LU)

    I say #3.

If I am wrong then I say #2. Then #1. But #3 for now. And #2 if #3 is wrong.

    Thank you 🙂

Mice attack people. Mice carry diseases. Mice historically attacked grain stores and led to starvation, though we’ve successfully prevented this in recent years.

LB – YOU GOT IT RIGHT !

ok, so it took you three guesses…. but better late than never!

She is afraid of elevators and riding on busses, but not of lightning. At least she wasn’t a few months ago when I was taking her to the park and she saw it for the first time and asked me what it was. I didn’t mention that it was dangerous so I guess she didn’t know to be scared. I just told her that it’s something we make a bracha on because it’s Hashem’s wondrous creation or something like that.

And then I told her that it was time to go home.

Boruch Hashem, I have, bli ayin hara, never been attacked or threatened by a mouse. And they certainly have never barked at me, unlike some of the people and all of the dogs I have ever met. That is why I am scared of some people, all dogs, and no mice.

I still find it interesting that someone can dislike vanilla. What is there not to like? Is it vanilla everything? To me it’s like water. Sweet delicious water. Point is that it is neutral. But maybe I am biased. No I am definitely biased.

Barking is dog speech. It’s no worse than if you talk to a dog.
If a human has ever spoken to those dogs, maybe they are justified in hating humans.

btw, LB and RY, I did want to take the opportunity to thank you guys for sticking up for me in the “I think I spoke L”H thread”. As I mentioned already to DY, I haven’t looked at or wanted to look at that thread since I last posted, but I noticed that you guys had posted, so I checked your profiles and saw that you stuck up for me. (or at least LB & DY did. It sounded like RY did too, but it can be a bit hard to tell when you read RY’s comments out of context :))

In any case, thanks tons, LB (and I think RY)!

    LU: You’re welcome 💖

RY: Good try bit nope on both.

It is lightning #1: Turns out that my dog is not afraid of lightning either, like LU’s niece. It made me think that I guess being scared of lightning is something we’re taught. My dog is scared of being on busses and elevators. But he just looks at lightning.

It is the river #3: One of my phones broke after getting swept up in the tide after a tropical storm came in. I did not realize the storm tide went back so far on the beach, so my bag ended up getting swept up a but but thankfully I caught up to it in time. I grabbed my bag to rest in a higher elevation, and then brought it home to air and rice out, but that was enough to end its operation from there.

After another phone fell into the river. I fished it out of the bottom, and a good 24+ hours in rice B”H was enough to get it back.

You can pull off the logic bomb with 2 statements:
Statement 1: Statement 2 is true.
Statement 2: Statement 1 is false.

    2. There is not enough not enough discussion about Kollel Vs. Working in the Coffee room.
    3. It depends on what your opinion is, in reference to the above issue, whether you think there is enough or too much.
