There is a dot that is used in sforim to indicate ‘amud alef’, i.e. when you want to reference for instance daf 23 amud beis you type a full colon (:) after the letters and when you want to reference amud alef you use just the upper half of the colon. Does anyone know how to type that? (This is not referring to the ‘cholem’ upper dot on top of the letter, rather to the dot after the upper half of the letter)

I forgot how to type a dot. (oops)

Kidding aside, I think they use the bottom one. (oops again)

You can use the Melupam. Likewise, in Notepad you can use alt-7, I think it is.
