If you were given the order to execute Vashti, how would you go about fulfilling your duty?
BTW, does the Gemorah tell us how Vashti was executed?

according to the law of the kingdom
i dont believe executioners had much in the way of options.
i believe it says somewhere that she was beheaded
Do you know where the method is brought down?
My question pertains if you were given a choice.
no im not even sure if that is the case, i just seem to recall it as such. i believe that was pretty standard practice for disobedient queens.
Considering how she treated B'not Yisrael, I would have a rather harsh punishment for her. Something like the Pilegsh B'givah. I'm sure there were enough pagans that would have volunteered to help.
if you read pshat, it does not say that anywhere that Vahsti was killed. That always struck me as interesting. If she was exectuted, why not say it straight out?
The Gemora says she was executed. (As far as the method being beheaded, that might also be in the Gemora, otherwise the Meforshim.)
She was pretty young when she was put to death. Her father was the King before he was overthrown by Achashveros' father.
Gemara Megillah 11b
Midrashim - Ester Rabbah 1:1, Ester Rabbah 5:2, etc.
Rashi - Esther 1:19
I would have her hanged, drawn and quartered.
she came back as a horse. Mrs. Ed I believe(Of course, of course)
I wouldn't do it. I don't think I could kill someone.

He was able to. I'm not.
popa: What about in self-defense? What about defending the life of an innocent third-party from an attempted killer chasing him?
