We already know NY state will go to Obama. So why bother voting for Romney?

Because it is your civic duty to vote.

(And politicians do look at who turned out to vote and provide more help to communities that produced more voters. That is why the Chasidic bloc vote is so powerful.)

You’re right that your vote for Romney will not really matter. But the Presidential race isn’t the only one on the ballot. There are other races where your vote may well count for more.

    And, there’s shein’s reason above.

Of course I plan to vote. I guess there is a point of voting. But if I know Obama’s going to win, shouldn’t I vote for Obama so he’ll like the frum community more?

He won’t know how you voted. So make the “right” choice. Vote Romney.

Obama’s not going to notice your one vote. As long as you’re resigned to your vote not meaning anything, you might as well vote as you want.

Well presidential election has ever been won by 1 vote, so maybe one shouldn’t vote in any state?

    I had the same question,

Why should I vote Republican in a Democratic state,

and now the answer that just came to my head is to show how many votes Obama doesn’t have
