So a woman came into the store where I work and asked if we have any wife beaters I wasn’t sure what she meant by that, she said wife beaters they are t-shirts without sleeves how weird is that.
Those t-shirts are for men why did she ask.
Did she at least buy salt and batteries?
They call the A-shirts “wife-beaters” (I dislike that term, by the way), because typically when you think of some white trash guy with a beer in one hand sitting in front of the TV in this type of sleeveless undershirt, the image is the type of guy who is abusive to his wife. It is a disgusting expression for an article of clothing, in my opinion.
@Goq – Aren’t those called … tank tops?
@rebyidd – Maybe she was buying them for her husband.Why would a woman want her husband wearing something called a wife beater?
They are actually tank tops, but the “WB” name was very popular. If you look at a package of men’s undershirts, you will see they are called “A-shirts.” Or at least, they used to be. No one in my household wears them.
Do people who wear ties act differently than people who don’t?

Goq: I find your post very interesting, as I’ve never worked in a supermarket, but wondered about certain things. In particular:
1. Is it easier for the staff if I pay by cash, or by CC?
2. Is it common in the industry to get bonuses for customer compliments?
3. It’s possible that the smokers are embarrassed to ask for smokes, or maybe not having had one in a while makes them grumpy, or they smoke to overcome their depression.
Credit card is definitely the easiest
