Eh, if you say so...
Goq: It's a humorous web series about a bunch of guys trying to create a new Jewish community in the sticks.

Ty OOM my main point in stating i didn't know what this is was to remind the op to flesh out her op a little more so those of us not familiar with it don't have to do research. ModGoq.

Whats with their website name?
I think the show is great. My kids love it. It clean cute entertainment. But their website name "nokoshermeat" gives me a weird feeling. Are they trying to promote treifus? In the end, will the Verpalner Rebbe (Feishy's Rebbe) have no kosher meat? Will the Nazi guy make sure ther is no kosher meat in town and then their whole project falls apart? Or does the website name have no inklink whatsoever to the show?

Zaidy, without having seen the show but just reading what was written above, I would guess that these boys are going to a place where there is "no kosher meat" and setting up a place where hopefully there is "yes kosher meat" in the not so distant future. Just a shot in the dark, but maybe I'm right.

I like how they have different types of Jews and it has some good humor

bWatched them and found them very funny (es. the bloopers!) and entertaining! But why did they make the Yeshivish guy (what ever his name is!) sooo extreme? I have never seen such things in the Yeshivish world. If people, who are not farmiliar with Yeshivish lifestyle, would see this they would get turned off. But ep. 5 was amazing!
And why does he have a Goyish name anyways?
And Feivish is so Tuna Beigel!
Great shows! Can't wait for more!
(And I like the short ads. z[i don't care for the ads, but like that they are short...])

"But why did they make the Yeshivish guy (what ever his name is!) sooo extreme?"
He portrays a BT wannabe. He is trying too hard.

Hmm, I thought episode 5 was weak -- one joke stretched out forever. In any case, if you click on "About" you'll find where the website's name comes from.

What was Feivesh looking for by that anti-semites house?

I am not looking to debate the issue but I think the show comes off as glorifying the cool guy and making "frum" people look stupid and extreme. It doesn't give off a positive message.

WIY: I agree! Especially YMRCHJUTFG... Did you EVER meet a guy with four names and thats what he called himself? And how many Yeshivish fellows do you know looking to buy a Parah Adumah? And the water part was plain dumb! And BTs don't act that either! Usually they know BETTER then the "FFB"ers how to interact with the outside world because they were there once. I have many BT friends, (B"H) and they are really amazing! If only I coulld act like them!
But Fiveish is okay for his type. If they are trying to show Chassidish people, they are way off the mark.
I like the show and can't wait for more...

"And BTs don't act that either! "
TV shows have to be about abnormal people, otherwise they are just boring.
BTW, I just had a BT spend Shabbat with me. He's been BT for over 20 years but still felt like he had to prove himself. Most people, by that time, have already settled in, but I guess some don't. Granted my guest was nowhere near as hard core as the BT in Verplank.

Oh, and to answer your question from the now close thread: Ever heard of copy and paste? And I do tiger it quite often.....I thought you also copied and pasted!

How do you tiger something? Does it require roaring?Posted 8 months ago # -
I dont think he's supposed to be BT at all. He is typical of the stereotype for the uber yeshivish who never saw daylight. NOT real life, real stereotyping with the exaggeration you always find in plays.
The cool part was that I recognized him from camp. Haven't seen him since high school but he hasn't aged a bit.

Its when you have a really annoying spell checker that thinks you wanted to write tiger...I was trying to write forget.......

Shopping: I don't copy and paste. On my computer I type it each time. It becomes second-nature. On my phone, I have Finger Keyboard2 which allows me to assign a button that types the whole thing for me. But yes, I heard of copy and paste!

On my device it is saved as my copy and paste thing so even if I shut it down and start again and try to paste, it will paste what I want! That's one thing google chrome needs to learn.....
