Thanks everyone for the warm welcome, as well as all the sympathy over the whole number thing. I’m sure it was just an honest mistake. It might take me a while but I’ll get over it.

Mammele- I’m moichel. I would give you a lollipop, but I’m out of lollies at the moment.

The funny thing is that it turns out you were right after all, but I don’t think that’s what LF meant – I think he was just making a joke which turned out to be true…

Unless I’m wrong, and he somehow knew about it, but I don’t know how that’s possible, and I think he even said that he was joking.

Good point about Chanuka – I thought of that afterwards.

    LB – thanks for the compliment. I like that about 2 + 5 = 7.

Moderator 25 – meet Lightbrite. She is the nicest poster ever, the sweetest, cutest, and most sincere!

Moderator 25 – just warning you – you need tough skin over here in the CR – so I certainly hope you can deal with this!!! (and yes, I realize you were probably joking).

I’ve had to learn to be a lot less sensitive since I joined the CR last summer. It’s the only way to survive here. (and, yes, for those of you who have gotten to know me, I realize that’s a relative statement).

I don’t know what it’s like at your end of the computer – I can only speak for this end – but I’m guessing it might be harder. Of course, you have the advantage of being able to delete any insulting or rude posts as you desire, close threads, and block people.

Anyhow, you sound like a nice person, so I hope your addition will improve the CR and make it a really nice place (which it is most of the time.)

Hatzlacha! Welcome, and have a great Shabbos!!!!

What did LF have to do with ANYTHING?!?

MOD25, Nice to meet you! Hope you didn’t listen to all the lashon hara about me. Deep down, very, very deep, I’m really nice. It’s just…

LF- I was talking about this:

    New Moderators…

No one was speaking LH about you, chas v’chalila! Now you owe me a bracha for being chosheid me b’kshairim.

I’ll take a bracha for a zivug hagun – someone really, really nice, and warm and sweet but also self-confident and has good social skills and a sense of humor, chilled-out but has depth, is intelligent and a ben Torah and ben aliyah and is emotionally healthy. I’ll also take a bracha for parnassah and health and happiness.

    Thank you!

Joseph – so it’s really just a guess then?

How do people become moderators anyhow? Do old moderators recruit their friends?

    #1213966

LU, why do you assume LF was referring to you? Perhaps you owe him an apology and a brochah?

lilmod, on 26 I’m certain. On 25 almost certain. (The almost is only on the specific mod # from eight years ago.)

DY – because I was the only one who mentioned him.

But if I’m wrong and he wants an apology and a bracha, I’m happy to give them to him. Let me know, LF.

Now you owe me a bracha, DY 🙂 (unless you’re right, in which case I owe you a bracha).

But either way, I could always use an extra bracha.

DY – because I was the only one who mentioned him.

I’m pretty sure he was referring to behind the scenes discussions between the moderators.

    Either way, ???? ?’ ?????? ??? ?????.

LuL: DY was, as usual, correct. I was referring to the in-house chatting of the Mods (as if they see each other.. cubicles in a office, sorry, bunker out there in one of the derfelach..)

He and others here from long ago generally knows the ins and outs of this place. Don’t know if your’re aware of it, but the place dates back many a year. Plenty of history here. Action!! Drama in Real Life!! Crisis!! Tensions, emotions, flare-ups. Brawling, bickering and biting. Antagonizing and attacking, confronting and combating. And then cooling..(you wish)

Oldies here ‘chap’ what’s a joke (r”l), what’s said in jest.. Lingo here is sometimes not as appears out in the Real World (is there such a thing?)

When I was new, I ‘stalked out’ (read without commenting) for some time, before I got the guts to spew forth my pearls of wisdumb. So I got to see the ropes… what goes.. what doesn’t.. what ticks peoplelach off.. When joining, I understood that I have to adjust and learn the crowd/place.

LF – ok, I’m sorry, I hope you’re moichel me. I could still use a bracha from someone so chashuve though if you want to give me one anyhow.

DY- Amen! Thanks for the bracha and for pointing out my error.

OK, I’m dry and ready to give you a bracha. What would you like your bracha to be? (sorry, my gabbi is out (fishing) now, he can’t write you a kvitel now).

I don’t have complete powers, as much as you’d like to think of me. If ????? ???? ????, mine are certainly less. So, maybe I could bentch you with one who’s only really nice (not really, really nice), warm OR sweet, self or confident, good skills OR social.. oish – your list is WAAYYYY to big.

Maybe I should be mispalel that you find your RIGHT zivug, bekarov, whether you like it or not. And that your right zivug appeals to you. That’s easier.

And why, for Heaven’s sake, do you think you deserve any better than my Ishti. She was promised a “gem of a bachur”, she got a total nincompoop.

LF – there is no limit to Hashem’s Powers even if there is to yours. It is always kidai to daven (or give brachos).

“And why, for Heaven’s sake, do you think you deserve any better than my Ishti.”

I guess you forgot to give her a bracha. 🙂 it’s not too late though.

LF – I think it would be best if you stuck to DY’s idea below. That is always the safest way to go (and to be quite honest, I’m a little nervous about the type of bracha you’d give me based on your last post 🙂 )

can’t go wrong with this one:

Welcome Mod 25! My computer and phone broke so I haven’t had a chance to give you a warm welcome yet! Good Luck, and have a good shabos! I look forward to conversing with you!
