   Right now this is my biggest spiritual wish in and out of the CR:

   For people to learn that when defending Hashems Torah, you are STILL obligated to respect Hashem's children.
   When you defend words that you interpret as anti-Torah ( sometimes correctly and sometimes not) you still have a Halachik obligation to attack the words and posts without destroying the person. Your behavior should not be more anti-Torah than their words were.

    Asking someone who has something does not constitute Teffila.

    Another important point is that Rav Shrira Gaon says that there are many things that are in the hands of Malachim, and you are allowed to ask them for it. (Caution: Don't Daven to them. Ask a Rav experienced in these matters — and send me his number — for more details.)

    So, I wouldn't ask for חיי בני ומזוני, since it is obviously not in its hands.

    jmh - Don't mess with the Ministry of Genies and its Laws. You will be banned from wishing anything for the next 435 years, pending a hearing from the Upper Authorities, in violation of Code Bill #108 of Genilaws XZ34.
    In addition, by requesting those prohibited wishes, you also inadvertently fried the Genie's B.R.A.I.N., corrupting and destroying his core S.O.U.L. and he is now permanantly damaged. He will have to be disposed of and replaced.
