The NYPD and Shomrim volunteers are searching for Yakov Gourin, 23, after his twin reported to police that he has been missing for 18 hours. Yakov's married twin brother, Yisroel, became concerned after Yakov failed to show up for a scheduled performance, and had not made any contact with him - something which had never happened before.
He was last seen at 11:00pm last night. His vehicle, a 1993 ford Econoline license plate number EWV2533, is missing as well.

Update 7:48 PM: Yakov has still not been found, but was possibly seen at 1:00pm today in Boro Park. This sighting has not been confirmed, and is the source of some false reports and rumors.
Our information has been confirmed by the police department, who have filed a missing person's report and are coordinating with Shomrim to try and locate him.
CrownHeights.info has also confirmed this information with Yisroel Gourin, Yakov's twin brother, who says he has absolutely no idea where other sources have gotten their information from.
Update: 8:01 PM: The story seems to have an interesting twist:
We have obtained information that Yakov has disappeared along with five thousand dollars in cash and his passport.

Update: 8:52 PM: We remain in constant contact with the Shomrim search team, the NYPD and his brother Yisroel. No confirmed contact has yet been made with Yakov since last night.
