I wonder how many in the coffee room even pay taxes
I used to like Citizens United, as injecting money into politics seemed good for the economy (there is nothing money cares for, more than money) but now I have doubts. Popa has freedom of speech?!!! I’m starting to doubt…

Without taxes, America would be unable to finance its gigantic military, without which Islamic State and friends (and before then the Communists,and before them the Nazis) would have conquered the world. Ignoring any other benefits that help our community (e.g. entitlements such as WIC, Social Security, Medicaid, etc.), we are getting our money’s worth.

Without the american army then various dictatoirs would still be in contol of the middle east and we wouldnt have the worries of isis, Al Quaida, and the rest….
crazybrit: The “fanatic” Muslims were attacking the US, and Jews elsewhere, well before President Bush sent American combat troops into the Middle East. While arguably they were set off by the British policies after World War I (when the agreed to a large Arab state included a Jewish homeland, and then double-crossed everyone since that state would have threatened control of their Empire), that is similar to saying the holocaust was caused by the French and British demands at the post-WWI peace conference.

Without taxes, we would be missing much important research, such as what effect massages have on rabbits. (No, I did not make that up.)
I’ve been more than once to the 24-hour Post Office in Manhattan on April 15th, after 11 PM, and there were always a number of frum yidden there too.
