HaGaon HaRav Akiva Ehrenfeld ZT”L was niftar on Thursday 28 Menachem Av 5772 in Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center. He served as the president of Kiryas Shmuel, Mosdos Beis Shmuel and Ma’ane Simcha. He was 89 at the time of petira.
The niftar was born in Germany to HaGaon HaRav Shmuel Ehrenfeld, Gavaad Mattersdorf. He built Kiryat Mattersdorf-Undsdorf in Yerushalayim and served as president until his petira. His brother, HaGaon HaRav Simcha Ehrenfeld is a member of the Moetzas Gedolei Yisrael in the United States. The niftar’s son, HaGaon Rav Yitzchok Ehrenfeld is Rosh Yeshivas Beis Shmuel in Yerushalayim.
The levaya will begin at 17:30 from Beis Shmuel on Panim Meiros Street in Kiryat Mattersdorf in Yerushalayim and head to Har Menuchos for kvura.
