Air Force Week Brings Flyovers To NYC

Air Force week officially returns to New York City this Sunday with a long list of events that are sure to be crowd-pleasers.

The three-day event is a celebration of the accomplishments of U.S. Airmen and aims to increase awareness of the role of the Air Force in the military.

The Air Force has an entire itinerary of flight demonstrations that will put all types of aircrafts on display.

On Saturday, the U.S. Air Force Aerial Demonstration Team, the Thunderbirds, will perform a coordinated formation flyover pass in their F-16D “Falcon” aircraft over Yankee Stadium during the Yankees/Red Sox at approximately 4:05 p.m.

The Thunderbirds will also perform over the Mets/Rockies game Monday, Aug. 20, at 7:10 p.m. at Citi Field.
