Paris: Two Anti-Semitic Attacks


Two anti-Semitic attacks were reported in France last week the daily HaMevaser reports. The first incident occurred on Friday morning 8 Teves 5773. Mispallalim arrived at the shul and saw flames coming from the entrance as a vehicle sped off. Baruch Hashem they succeeded in extinguishing the flames before they spread. Police were summoned but they have yet to make an arrest. The mora d’asra of the shul, Rabbi Schneur Lubchik told French media “it was a miracle.” The rav added that he and his congregants will not be intimidated and they will continue holding minyanim regularly.

The second incident occurred on Thursday when a Jewish male was attacked, beaten and stabbed in Paris. The victim told authorities that his attackers were shouting anti-Semitic slurs as they assaulted him. Baruch Hashem the victim’s injuries were described as light. He was treated and released from a local hospital. Once again, police have not made arrests in the case.
