Monsey: Fliers In Yiddish Distributed After Dead Baby Found In Recycling Plant

pdcPolice are distributing reward fliers in three languages in an effort to find the mother of a full-term baby whose body was found in a plastic bag at a cardboard recycling plant.

The fliers, which offer a $2,500 reward, are in English, Spanish and Yiddish. The Journal News says they show several items found with the body, including a blood- and fluid-stained black shirt. Authorities believe the woman was very likely a housekeeper at Jewish homes. The baby was delivered sometime before garbage pickup Tuesday morning and was found in a bag from a Deli on Myrtle Avenue Spring Valley.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stoppers hot line at 800-313-8477.

The body was discovered in a recycling bin by a worker at the plant. Police believe the infant boy was killed immediately after being born.
