NYC Mayor Says NYPD Responding To Uptick In Shootings

debMayor Bill de Blasio says the city’s police forces are zeroing in on the sites of 23 shootings this past weekend.

But the mayor told a news conference at City Hall on Monday that the spate of violence that took two lives does not reflect New York’s general crime trend.

De Blasio noted that crime in general is down about 3 percent so far this year compared to 2013. And there were 26 fewer murders this year.

However, shootings are up by 12 percent. Two young men died Sunday in upper Manhattan after a gunman got out of his car and opened fire.

The mayor says Police Commissioner William Bratton is making sure that wherever there’s an uptick in shootings, additional police forces move in quickly.

So the only reason murder is down is because the shooters missed! Not because of anything the NYPD did right.

  2. THIS IS NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT!!! Mr. Bratton is too busy fighting the much more serious heinous crimes that are taking place in NYC; THE SUBWAY PERFORMERS!!! dun dun dun duuunnnnnnn!!!!!!

After all, the same guy trying to cheer up subway riders finishes performing and then goes to shoot someone. Bratton’s “method” of policing is correct (get petty crime first) but the subway performers aren’t committing “petty crime”.
Arresting clowns = higher shooting/murder rate.

BRING BACK STOP, QUESTION, AND FRISK!!!

But how can that be? That’s racial profiling! The shootings are taking place in “black” neighborhoods. Mr. Deblasio & Bratton didn’t listen to the Kenyan’s speach today. I call on Eric Witholder to look into the police practices of the Anti Black NYPD!
