Local and federal law enforcement agencies conducted drills Sunday morning to fine-tune security measures along New York City’s subway system.

It was first planned in October, but is being looked at in a new light in the wake of the recent Paris terror attacks.

The first drill began at 4 a.m. with ten different arms of the NYPD participating, including officers from the counter-terrorism unit.

It simulated an active shooter on a subway platform with several people shot, including an NYPD officer.

The drill lasted until 8 a.m.

Bowery from Kenmare Street to Mott Street was closed during the drill.

Elizabeth Street from Broome Street to Spring Street was also be shut down.

Following the drill, Mayor Bill de Blasio held a press conference along with Police Commissioner Bill Bratton, Fire Commissioner Daniel Nigro and Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson regarding the outcome of the drill.
