VIDEO AND PHOTOS: No One Hurt In Fire At Shoppers Haven Mall In Monsey

Thankfully, no on was hurt in a fire which started near Shoppers Haven Mall in Monsey, Monday night.

The Ramapo Police Department says that at approximately 10:28PM, emergency personnel responded to 24 Orchard Street (Shopper’s Haven) in the Monsey area of the Town for the report of an active structure fire.

Upon arrival, officers observed a detached storage building on the north side of Rockland Kosher Supermarket engulfed in flames.

The building contained a forklift, propane tanks and assorted materials.

The fire had spread to a Rockland Kosher delivery box truck parked adjacent to the building. The structure, it’s contents, and the vehicle sustained heavy damage.

Rockland Kosher Supermarket was evacuated as a precaution.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the fire.

The Ramapo Police Department was assisted on scene by the Monsey Fire Department, the Hillcrest Fire Department, Hatzolah Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Chaverim.

The fire is currently being investigated by Rockland County Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Ramapo Police Detective Bureau.
