Dozens of people were seen climbing the Brooklyn Bridge on Monday morning, and social media lit up with people calling for police action.

The only problem was, the people on the bridge WERE the police!

Sources have confirmed to YWN that the folks photographed climbing the Brooklyn Bridge were in fact NYPD on an unannounced drill.

A police source told YWN that they were thrilled that people “saw something and said something”.

It is unknown if the drill was specifically done in bad weather conditions to prepare officers for a rescue in any weather condition.
