It was a Kiddush Hashem on Monday night, as dozens and dozens of volunteers of Rockland Chaveirim searched the area for a missing 10-year-old girl.

Sources tell YWN that the volunteer organization was contacted by local authorities to assist in the search, duet o their expertise in searches and due to their large volume of manpower.

After hours of searching, police decided to stop the search for the night.

In the attached video, see Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence as well as the SPring Valley Police Chief thanking Chaveirim for their assiatnce.

Thankfully, she was found safe and sound on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Police say Kelly Rivera-Pillco has been with her father since taking a cab to Manhattan Monday morning.

Rivera-Pillco’s mother reported her missing after the Elmwood Elementary School student never got on her school bus yesterday and never arrived at school.

Through Rivera-Pillco’s posts on social media with friends and family, investigators learned her disappearance was not an abduction, but rather, a case of the child running away from home.

It is unknown yet what prompted the girl to run away from home.

  1. The title of this article bothers me because it sounds as though the missing girl was just a heicha timtza for the kiddush Hashem. The title of the article should be “Baruch Hashem missing girl was found”.
