30,000 Attend Levaya Of Lelover Rebbe ZATZAL In Bnei Brak

lelov.jpgYWN regrets to inform you of the sudden Petira of the Lelover Rebbe of Bnei Brak, Rav Shimon Nosson Nota Biderman ZATZAL at the age of 78.

The Lelover Rebbe ZATZAL conducted his last “Tish” on Erev Yom Kippur, giving pieces of honey cake to hundreds of Chassidim, wishing them all a Gmar Chasima Tova.

The Rebbe started Yom Kippur as he did every year, Davening Kol Nidrei for the Amud, with a 40 minute delay due to feeling weak. He finished the Tefillah, and just before Maariv he told his Gabbai to have someone else replace him for Maariv. Following Maariv the Rebbe went to his room, said Krias Shema and lied down. Shortly after, his Gabbai noticed that he was having extreme difficulty in breathing, and went into cardiac arrest moments later. Hatzolah & Magen David Adom Paramedics arrived, and the Rebbe was transported to Beilinson Hospital. Unfortunately, the Rebbe was Niftar en-route to the hospital.

The Rebbe was brought back to his room by a non-Jewish driver from Ezer Mizion, and a Minyan was at his side reciting Tehillim throughout Yom Kippur.

On Motzei Yom Kippur a Massive Levaya was held at the Lelover Bais Medrash in Bnei Brak, and was attended by tens of thousands. The Kevura took place in Har Hazeisim in Yerushalayim.

The Rebbe leaves behind three sons, and six daughters.
