Rav Grossman: Protests are Not Necessary for Shmiras Shabbos in Yerushalayim

gro1.jpgRav Yitzchak Dovid Grossman Shlita does not require an introduction, the chief rabbi of Migdal Ha’emek for some 4 decades, and the founder and director of the Migdal Ohr educational network.

There is growing support for his candidacy to become the next ashkenazi chief rabbi of the capital, with the tzibur well-aware of his soft-handed ways, successfully keeping peace in his city, advancing Torah and yiddishkeit with protests and controversy.

In an interview with the weekly Kehillah Newspaper affiliated with Belz Chassidus, the rav states that progress can be made through advancing the cause peacefully, without violence and protests, confident the situation in Yerushalayim is no different.

  1. Rav Grossman is well known for his wonderful accomplishments and sensibilities.

Of course, the kannoyim, their sympathizers, and their rabinnical leaders who bring so much shame to us will never listen to him.

  2. I know his family and something about him.

He is above “wanting to be the Chief Rabbi”.

He would only do it if it would be muchrach or is so, and upon the urging of great rabbonim.

  3. #6 – The Rav is known to be a great Tzaddik who has done so much work to bring thousands of hiloni Israelis back to the fold. He does this through amazing Achavas Yisrael. He won the Israel Prize in recognition of this amazing work which shows that even the Hilonim recognise his gadlus.

Therefore, I think you comment was totally out of place
