20K Reward For Information On Stamford Hill Murder

(Sunday, January 17th, 2010)

Stamford Hill, London – Police are offering a £20,000 reward for information about the murder of a Jewish woman in Stamford Hill.

Detectives have launched a fresh appeal into the murder of 83-year-old Eveline Kelmenson and hope the substantial reward will encourage people with information about suspicious activity at Kelmenson’s home before her death to come forward.

Police found the body of the victim, known as Lina, in her home on 1 January 2009.

A group of people, described as Eastern European in appearance, were seen around Kelmenson’s address before her murder. She was seen arguing with them and looking distressed.

DCI Stewart Hill said: “We appeal to anyone, who may have information to please come forward in confidence.”
