MKs Tzipi Hotovely (Likud) and Prof. Aryeh Eldad (Ichud HaLeumi) are presenting a bill that would prohibit sending IDF soldiers to evict Jews from their homes. If passed into law, the military would be ‘off limits’ for assignment that do not deal with national security, unless such a mission enjoys the support of at least 80 MKs. Ten right-wing MKs have already signed in support of the bill.
The bill also states that law enforcement in areas under the jurisdiction of the State of Israel will be placed in the hands of Israel Police, including areas under the “Palestinian Council”.
