An Eritrean couple in their 30s was likely the latest victim of a racist arson attack. Their apartment in the Machane Yehuda area of the capital was set ablaze at about 03:00. According to police, the two sustained moderate injuries, burns and smoke inhalation, and they were transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in moderate condition.
There has been an increase in the number of attacks, including arson against immigrants and illegal aliens from African companies, in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Police are investigating.
