While government officials and Bank of Israel Governor Prof. Stanley Fischer boast Israel’s financial stability, crediting government policy for riding out the global financial crisis, for many Israelis the situation is not as bright.
Employment services officials report that in June 2012, 16,084 lost their jobs, a record high not reached since June 2009.
