I thought he’ll make a design of a ‘shlissel’. How does this turn into a ‘shlissel challah’?
I’ve heard many explanations. Does anyone know the real inyan of making a “shissel challah” and how this relates to the video here.

You need a shlissel to unlock the “shar”.
Some Litvish bake the challah the shape of a key…some make a key “design” with poppy seeds or raisins on the top of a regularly shaped round challah and still others place a key shaped “cookie” inside the challah….not sure if any of these has any more significance than the others with respect to the real inyan….
