In light of growing public chilul Shabbos around Israel, the Chief Rabbinate of Israel Council on Monday 16 Elul met to discuss the matter.

Chief Rabbi Dovid Lau Shlita spoke of the fact that there is increasing chilul Shabbos around the country, calling on the rabbonim to do what they can to at the very least diminish the public chilul Shabbos around the country.
