Planning Ahead – Belzer Rebbe Sets Date for Grandson’s Chasnah

(Tuesday, June 26th, 2012)

Several months after a grandson of the Belzer Rebbe Shlita was engaged, the rebbe announced a date for the chasnah.

Ladaat.net reports that the rebbe made the announcement on Monday night, the eve of 6 Tammuz 5772 at a L’chaim Tisch (לעקיך און בראנפין). Present were family members of the chosson and kallah only, in line with the minhag of the chassidus.

The rebbe announced the chasnah of his grandson Sholom Rokeach will take place on 12 Sivan 5773 IY”H, thereby permitting many chassidim who travel to Eretz Yisrael for Shavuos to remain for the chasnah.
