HaRav HaChossid Moshe Borstein zt”l, among the elders of Breslov Chassidus in Eretz Yisrael, was niftar on Wednesday, 28 Tishrei, at the age of 97. The niftar collapsed in the Ohr Avraham Beis Medrash in the Givat Moshe area of the capital. After resuscitation efforts, he was transported to Bikur Cholim Hospital where he was niftar.
Rav Moshe was personally acquainted with HaGaon Rav Meir Shapira zt”l, the founder of the Daf Yomi program, and the two davened together for many years in the Chachmei Lubin Yeshiva in Lubin.
The levaya was held on Wednesday night at the Ohr Avraham Beis Medrash and kvura was in Har Menuchos.
