Court Sentences 12 Peleg Protesters To 40-90 Days In Prison, Peleg Renews Protests [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

(VIDEOS & PHOTOS IN EXTENDED ARTICLE)

On Sunday afternoon 12 Charedim from the Peleg faction, who are still under police custody since the previous round of protests, were sentenced to between 40-90 days in prison.

The military court that held the hearing, said most of them received sentences of varying lengths within that time-frame. The terms are to be carried out inside military prisons. Three of the Peleg received the full 90-day sentences. One received 80 days, another 65, two others 60, one 55, and the remaining three received 45 days. Only one was released without extended sentencing.

Due to the perceived severity of the punishments and the continued arrests of draft dodgers, the Peleg group has announced that they will be resuming their protests across the streets of Israel in an effort to show their disdain for the enlistment commands and the arrests of their fellow Peleg faction members.

The group issued a statement that announced that protests will resume at 7:00 p.m. in the following locations.

Jerusalem – The street corners of Yafo and Sarei Yisrael

Bnei Brak – Street corners of Jabotinsky and Rabbi Akiva

Modi’in Illit – Kfar Ruth intersection

Beit Shemesh – Yehuda Hanassi St.

And similarly in Ashdod, Elad, Tzefat, and various locations in Israel’s south according to the determination of the local Askonim.

  1. I wanna see a video like the one they broadcast during the infamous Baltimore Riots, when a Mamma came right up to her son who was probably about to overturn a car or something, and slapped him upside da head and dragged him home. THat’s what I wanna see.

  2. 1 YEAR IN JAIL FOR ANYBODY THAT DOES ANY DAMAGE TO PUBLIC PROPERTY!! This protest will end very quickly!!

Perhaps sitting in Yeshiva and say Tehillim would be more beneficial!!
