Serious Rollover Accident On I-87


nyspnOrange County 911 received a call of a northbound Nissan rolling several times, ejecting two of it’s 5 passengers Sunday morning around 9:14 am.

State Police say that a 2005 Nissan driven by Kirstie Jean-Francois, 22, of Brooklyn, NY, veered from the roadway toward the left shoulder, quickly veered back to the right, lost control causing it to roll several times, and ejecting 2 rear passengers before coming to rest in the median. The driver was transported to St. Lukes-Cornwall Hospital for minor injuries Troopers said.

Two rear passengers, Whitney Jean-Francois, 17, and Veronique Brunache, 74, both of Brooklyn, NY, were ejected from the vehicle and air lifted to Westchester Medical Center with serious internal injuries. Medical staff there have not released a status of their condition at this time.

The two remaining passengers, Marlene Jean-Francois, 53, and Ronald Jean-Francois, 15, also from Brooklyn, were transported to St. Lukes-Cornwall Hospital with minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved and tickets against the driver are pending at this time.
