The New York State Police in Monroe arrested three individuals who were caught stealing over $5,000.00 worth of merchandise from the Wal-Mart store in the Town of Monroe.
On Thursday, June 26, 2014, Clifton Jones, age 54, of Newburgh, Alicia Brown, age 21, of Newburgh and Beth Williams, age 28, of Walden, were observed by loss prevention leaving the store without paying for 3 shopping carts loaded with electronics, infants clothing and auto accessories. State Police were called to the scene and were able to arrest the three as they were loading the merchandise into their vehicle.
The three were charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree. They were arraigned and remanded to Orange County Jail pending a future court appearance in the Town of Monroe Court.
