On 06/30/2014, Troopers from SP Wurtsboro responded to a reported car/pedestrian motor vehicle accident which occurred on ST-209 in Wurtsboro.
The investigation at the scene determined that a 2009 Honda Civic, operated by a forty-eight year old male from Phillipsport, N.Y. was traveling north bound on ST-209 when the vehicle struck and killed a pedestrian crossing the roadway in the area of Porco Gas.
The pedestrian was identified as Donna Manning, age 78, of Wurtsboro, N.Y.
The state police advise that no tickets have been issued but that the accident is still under investigation.
