An Arab shopkeeper was arrested on Shabbos morning for allegedly attacking and lightly wounding a Frum man who was on his way to the Kosel in the Old City. According to allegations, Arab passers-by joined the shopkeeper and attacked the man. (more…)

This afternoon in Lakewood there will be a groundbreaking ceremony for Yeshivas Chevrei Hakollel AKA “Kollel 88” on Somerset Avenue South @ the corner of Countyline Road. The buffet will be at 2:30PM and the program will begin at 3:25PM. Hagoen R’ Mattisyahu Solomon Shlita (Masgiach Lakewood) and Hagoen R’ Shmuel Kaminetsky Shlita (Rosh Philly) will be speaking.

At this time the Levaya of Hagon R’ Avrohom Niznik ZATZAL Chief Rabbi of Montreal is taking place in the Young Israel at 6235 Hillside.

A man in his 30s died on Friday afternoon after a fire broke out in his home in the Ramot neighborhood. An initial investigation indicated that the fire was caused when the man dropped a lit cigarette while he was drunk.

Residents of an adult home were evacuated last evening following a fire in an elevator shaft, police said yesterday. The fire at the Monsey Park Home for Adults was reported at 7:51 p.m. Wednesday. (more…)
