Op-Ed: I Supported Change And Voted For Rockland County Executive Ed Day, I Came To Regret My Decision

dayI supported change and voted for Ed Day, I became one of the people that realized that I’ve elected a County Executive that is simply obsessed with one community.

I am a simple ordinary Spring Valley home owner.

I am from the people that enjoy living in a calm quiet neighborhood.

I am from the people that moved to spring Valley, away from the ‘center Monsey’ 10 years ago.

I am from the people that hate traffic and am frustrated with my daily commute on Rt 306.

I am from the people that scream loud enough is enough with reckless building without addressing traffic first.

I am from the people that want to look the developers in the eye and ask them ‘how dare you come to my small st mess it up with your project and go home to your private home’.

I am from the people that promised to myself NEVER again will I support St Lawrance.

I am from the people that supported change and voted for Ed Day.

I am from the people that were furious that Jews would what appeared to be played the ‘anti-semitsm card’.

And then….

I became one the people that realized that Preserve Ramapo and it’s candidates are not working to unite Rockland, on the contrary to further divide our county.

I became one of the people that realized Preserve Ramapo isn’t about solving problems rather just to just mock the Jewish community.

I became one of the people that realized that the traffic in Spring Valley and New City Main Street etc isn’t a issue, it’s only Rt 306 & Rt 59, what’s ironic is that on these Roads the people complaining about them hardly ever travel them.

I became one of the people that realized that Social Services investigations only matters if it involves people from ‘one ethnicity’. (Just look up the records).

I became one of the people that realized that I’ve elected a executive that is simply obsessed with one community.

I became one of the people that realized sometimes ‘antisemitism isn’t just a playing card it’s a reality’.

I became one of the people that realized any movement that is built and driven to trash the other group won’t be productive nor get anything done.

I became one the people that realized that if you can’t bring out your message without dirt talk on “people who’s only crime is they have different views and interest” there is no message.

I became one of the people that realized that if people wouldn’t not he so obsessed with the Jewish community rather focus on real issues things would of changed.

I became one of the people that realized that until a nonbiased candidate is running for office I’m better of having St Lawrance in office.

Because history tells us all evil started out when a movement decided to spread their message by attacking one group over another.

  1. No name on the op-Ed. Hmmm more lies. Notice there are no examples given. Maybe he is talking about Ed Day insisting that the building inspectors do their jobs after people died in an illegally separated house.

  2. And I became one of the people who didn’t go out to vote today. I’m one of the people who are fed up with the ugly, gross condos and huge monster homes with a gazillion apartments, the garbage and the traffic.

I’m not blaming St. Lawrence, he seems like a nice person, I’m blaming the contractors who have him and the community wrapped around their fingers.
I wasn’t going to vote for Preserve Ramapo even though I don’t see the harm that Ed Day has supposedly done to the Jewish community.

    And so, I stayed home.
