And I strongly argue that when a Hassidic jew in Iowa (no criminal record - non violant) gets 27 yrs for oversating assats (found guilty thru unfair practices by the judge and prosecuter) while a Muslim in Taxes trying to kill thousands only gets 24 yrs. This crys out for justice. I will not vote for any federal level politician who remain silent to such a failed unfair justice system.
So the only one who gets my vote now is Anthony Weiner. Schumer and Gillibrand should be ashamed for doing nothing and remain silent. I herby ask you to do the same and to spread the word and forward this to all your friends.

RIGHT and LEFT refer to which side of the French parliament deputies sat in the time of the French Revolution. Jews at the time, could neither vote nor hold office. The terms are fairly irrelevant in discussing Jews.

The article also assumes that there is one Jewish community, whereas it is very clear that the Orthodox community (Shomer Shabbos, keeping kosher) are a totally distinct community from the non-Orthodox. We live in different areas, work at different sorts of jobs, attend different schools, and don't intermarry (in other words, if a frum kid brings home a "Reform" Jews, the frum family will probably have to end deciding that the non-frum kid isn't Jewish - this being the result of multiple generations during which non-frum Jews had 50% or higher intermarriage.

Once you limit your discussion to Orthodox Jews, you find that we are almost all "social conservatives" (but it is rarely a priority, we sort of expect the goyim to do averios anyways so what's the hiddush that they are gay baby killers). We almost all support a strong US foreign policy since for the last 70 years the main focus point of US foreign policy has been to fight those who wish to kill us (the nazis, the communists, and now the Muslims) - so some would say that makes us "right" (or is isolationism "right" and internationalism "left").

While I object, we tend to be economic liberals, reflecting a history in which one tried to get what favors one could from the king when he was so inclined, and reflecting that our community internally always believed in entitlements (and remembering that we were often subject to tax rates in excess of 100% meaning there was no incentive to save and every incentive to spend, and spending on tsadakah was a good investment since when you became a refugee it was in your advantage to be known as a "baal tsadakah"). Fiscal responsibility would have been a very dumb idea in Europe.
