They talked over each other.

The candidates didn’t interrupt each other. Biden interrupted Ryan. 82 times. The moderator constantly interrupted Ryan every time he was about to make his point. Biden smirked and laughed and pulled faces. Ryan was polite throughout, and showed that he is an adult while Biden is an old child.
