She signed a contract promising to confine her role to introducing the candidates and questions, and keeping time. Instead she kept interfering, interrupting Romney whenever he was getting anywhere, and worst of all, at the most crucial part of the debate, when 0bama lied about having called the Benghazi terrorist attack what it was immediately, and Romney was challenging him, she “corrected” Romney — and got it wrong. She later admitted that Romney had been right and she’d been wrong, but the damage was done. The audience saw her as the “umpire” deciding that 0bama was telling the truth when in fact he was telling a barefaced lie.
